Innovative Process
McCrometer's
fluidized bed process creates a powder that fuses with hot metal through
a reaction in the epoxy causing it to liquefy, encapsulate and fuse with
the metal on the part. The epoxy heat provides a bond with the metal
that resists disbonding in abrasive, corrosive environments.
Added Advantages of UltraLiner
- A liner that also acts as an electric insulator
- Greater abrasion resistance than hard rubber
coatings
- Will not collapse or delaminate when used on
suction lines like Teflon® liners
can
- Excellent protection against abrasion, corrosion,
and wear
- Can be applied to small areas and parts in varying
thicknesses
- Non-conductive to eliminate stray currents
Testing Results
McCrometer implements stringent testing methods such as:
- Magnetic pull off and Ultrasonic coating thickness
testing
- Wet Sponge 100 volt per mil spark testing to check
for holidays or pinholes in the coating
- Exposing the liner to commonly used industrial
solvents
Environmentally Safe
- No unpleasant fumes released in the process
- No VOCs are released into the atmosphere
- NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) approved for
potable water
